Sterilisation Wraps are intended to be used to enclose another medical device that is to be sterilized by a health care provider. It is intended to allow Sterilisation of the enclosed medical device and also to maintain sterility of such content under use.
2-Ply Sterilisation wraps are made from two layers of polypropylene using SMMMS (Spunbond-Meltblown-Meltblown-Meltblown-Spunbond) protection technology which are ultrasonically seamed on two edges. The Sterilisation wraps are used in hospital setting to provide protection against contact contamination during handling of medical devices/instruments and provide an effective barrier to microbial penetration. The outer spunbond layers of the fabric provide strength, making it resistant to tears, punctures and abrasion, when correct storage and handling techniques are observed. The inner layers of meltblown fibres provide a secure microbial and liquid barrier while still allowing effective sterilant penetration.

Instructions for use
- Pre-vacuum Steam Cycle
- 3.5 – 5 Minutes Exposure between 132°C/270°F and 137°C/278°F with the minimum dry time of 20 minutes
- Gravity Steam Cycle
- 30 minutes exposure at 250ºF/121ºC with the minimum dry time 20 minutes
- Ethylene Oxide
- 180 Minutes Exposure to 790mg/L of 100% Ethylene Oxide at 113°F/45°C and 45-80% relative humidity followed by 3 days of aeration/desorption between 35°C and 45°C
- Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) Low Temperature
- Injections at 140°F/60°C using Steriplas2000 Hydrogen Peroxide Gas Plasma steriliser.
- Place instruments on wrapper and wrap using typical aseptic technique.
- Secure with a common closure (tape or alternate closure suitable for the Sterilisation method to be used) and label.
- Closure must 1) allow the sterilant to penetrate the wrapped package, 2) avoid constriction of the package and 3) maintain package integrity
